The McGill Press

The McGill press is a great exercise for any level challenging the core to a great degree. Use a light enough dumbbell to avoid rotation through the trunk but heavy enough to challenge the core.

1 - Lie back on a bench holding dumbbell in one hand keeping both arms straight.
2 - On the same side you are holding the dumbbell take your shoulder and hip off the edge of the bench.
3 - Actively push both feet through the floor, keep the core tight and bring the dumbbell down while tucking the elbow slightly till the elbow is at 90.
4 - Try sets of 8-10 reps
